  on april 24, 2012, the state of hawaii changed the statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse occurring years, or even decades ago.

  beginning last april, and continuing through april 24, 2014, any survivor of childhood sexual abuse can file a lawsuit, even if their claim had been barred by the statute of limitations in the past.

  a former new south wales priest claims to have witnessed a "system of cover-ups" within the catholic church to hide child sexual abuse.. kevin lee was ordained as a priest 20 years ago and worked as a police chaplain for some of that time, but was relieved of his parish responsibilities in western sydney this year when he admitted to marrying a woman in secret.. his comments follow those of that the catholic church is involved in cover-ups and paedophile priests have destroyed evidence to avoid prosecution.. mr lee told lateline on friday that abuse is widely covered up in the church and that he first became aware of it as soon as he was in the seminary.. "people used to tell me and people in the first parish i was in started to confess their frustration with the authorities and the church for not dealing with the abuse that happened to their sons," he said.. mr lee says during the course of his life as a priest, he became aware that some of those around him were paedophiles.. "i became aware that some of the other priests were actually paedophiles and were not necessarily becoming priests because they wanted to help people, but because they were paedophiles who wanted the opportunity," he said.. mr lee says a church protocol was in place for dealing with cases of child sexual abuse, but it was not actually used.. "i saw a system of cover-ups, a system of blind-eye turning and just ignorance of the fact that it was happening," he said.. he says he took his concerns to superiors within the church but was knocked back.. "in my earlier years as a priest, i was having these people coming to me in confession or just sharing in counselling sessions their experience of frustration and anger with the church that had ignored their pleas of justice when their children had been abused and i started writing the notes down," he said.. "i was speaking to a barrister at one point and i thought he was going to help my case by putting it forward in some legal process.. "he said 'document everything you have', and everything i had i took to authorities within the church and i was told i needed more evidence.".

  My guess is the ‘system of cover-ups’ is all what the November 2012 thru January 2013 JW Elder one day refresher course is all about.

  Just like the Vatican, WT is not interested in protecting its own victims of sexual abuse. Rather, they want to keep as tight a lid as possible on the problems that currently plague the congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses involving the handling of sex offenders among its’ members.

  This one day Elder school no doubt will deal a great deal with how to handle Judicial matters and the importance of first communicating with WT legal before doing anything else. WT has already admitted individual congregation Judicial Committees have cost Headquarters big bucks!

  Forthcoming Kingdom Ministry School schedule and references

  i'm taking a break from jwn at the moment, but i thought i'd briefly jump back on to post some information that has been sent to me.. many of you will be aware that the governing body has somewhat hastily arranged another "kingdom ministry" school for the elders, and there has already been a degree of speculation on the forum as to what matters will be addressed at this meeting.. a friend has very kindly sent me the text of a letter to bodies of elders in britain which includes the meeting schedule as well as the reference material that elders are asked to bring along and "meditate" on beforehand.. here is the letter:.

  sorry if this is a dbl.

  post.. talking to an elder yesterday, he stated he was going to km school next week and that it was an "emergency" km school being held all over the country and that all the circuits had to purchase projectors for the school.....but he couldn't say anything else (secret society bs)little does he know the details can be found here on jwn.. any undercover elders know what this is about?.

  " What is meant by ‘binding the sweet influences of the Pleiades’ or ‘loosing the bands of Orion’ or ‘bringing forth Mazzaroth in his seasons’ or‘ guiding Arcturus with his sons, ’as mentioned at Job38:31,32?—W.S.,NewYork.

  Some attribute striking qualities to these constellations or star groups and on the basis of such they then offer private interpretations of Job 38:31, 32 that amaze their hearers. Their views are not always sound from the standpoint of astronomy, and when viewed Scripturally they are completely without foundation. Why? Because we do not know which stars or groups of stars are being referred to in these verses. The names Pleiades, Orion and Arcturus are not the names given in the Bible. Some translations make Mazzaroth refer to the signs of the Zodiac. English translators have merely adopted these pagan names given to constellations or star groups and have inserted them in their translations in the place of the original names that appear in the Hebrew Scriptures, namely, Kimah,K e sil,Mazzaroth and ‘Ayish. To just what stars or star groups these names refer we do not know today. Hence it is useless to indulge in unprofitable speculations. Incidentally, Pleiades can no longer be considered the center of the universe and it would be unwise for us to try to fix God’s throne as being at a particular spot in the universe. Were we to think of the Pleiades as his throne we might improperly view with special veneration that cluster of stars.—Deut. 4:19; 2 Chron. 2:6; 6:18."

  Yes, WT, many agree it is useless to indulge in unprofitable speculations! So, what’s with 1914? Like the word ‘Pleiades’ , 1914 is also not found or mentioned in the Bible.

  Under the sub-heading: ‘HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR’

  When reviewing paragraph 11, I couldn’t help but think of the thousands that have cried and wept bitterly-brought on by the countless premature deaths of JW friends and loved ones due to the WT’s unscriptural ‘no blood-transfusion’ policy.

  Then there is the tremendous amount of crying and weeping we’ve all witnessed when a repentant JW has been publicly humiliated, disfellowshipped and shunned with in many cases years of no contact with loved ones.

  Not to be overlooked is the grief that many today experience when they learn of friends and loved ones molested by a JW member, while WT sits idly by refusing to administer justice on behalf of those violated.

  A member of Holt’s congregation states the following in an email:

  ‘Jonathan Holt is a brother, has been baptized 4 or 5 years, and was a MS, but was reproved last year and removed. Since he is an EMT he was on the RBC list for First Aid but a few months ago an RBC overseer called him for a project, he told the overseer he wasn't interested in working on the RBC projects anymore.

  I also found out that the police found child pornography in his computer, so he definitely was leading a double life. I feel sorry for his dear wife of 1 1/2 yrs’
